Strings strings..

String

..we are like strings, very easy to break.. hard to remain.. and problems after problems comes, the strings will jumble up in one big tangled piece of work..

But a big piece of work once aligned in the proper alignment.. it will be as strong as ever..

Running Towards the ultimate price..

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Galatians 6:7-10

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Ephesians 6:10-20

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I(you) am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Philippians 3:12-14

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:1-13

1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. 3 Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. 5 Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. 7 Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this.

8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

11 Here is a trustworthy saying:

   If we died with him,
   we will also live with him;
12 if we endure,
we will also reign with him.
If we disown him,
   he will also disown us;
13 if we are faithless,
   he remains faithful,
   for he cannot disown himself.

Perseverance; persistence, the price!! The Christian life was never promised as an easy way to live instead Paul constantly remind us that we must have a purpose and a plan because times will be difficult and Satan will attack.

Winning a race requires purpose and discipline. Sometimes the Christian life takes hard work, self-denial, and gruelling preparation. As Christians, we are running towards our heavenly reward. The essential disciplines of prayer, Bible study, and worship equip us to run with vigour and stamina. Don’t merely observe from the grandstand; don’t just turn out to jog a couple of laps each morning. Train- diligently; our spiritual progress depends upon it.

I urged you to seek God. Easy said than done but we got to start somewhere.

Last but not least

1 Corinthians 10:6-13

6 Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.”[a] 8 We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 9 We should not test Christ,[b] as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10 And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.

11 These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. 12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 13 No temptation[c] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[d] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[e] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

An unavoidable fight ?

When is the last time, that you had a fight with someone? Who was it? What did he do wrong? .. What did you do wrong?  Who’s fault was it? Was it him .. or yourself?

Sometimes its just inevitable to avoid it.. both side do not want to give in.

“What’s wrong with you” said A.

“What? Now you want to fight?” said B.

Now, did it make it better? nAH! Did a split second make you think what are the consequences? From nose bleed, to bruises, a broken arm, to a broken rib bone that pokes to your lung, and lastly death?

Is it worth the split second of ego in your soul ?

or

just let go?

Clinging On the edge.

On 15th march 2009, I went to Ayer Keroh recreation park. I went rock climbing and kayaking. It had been long time from the last time i went rock climbing and kayaking. I remember the first time I rock climb was when I went to genting highlands when I was form 4 and that was my first rock climbing. Well, I did quite well that time(I think) I did manage to climb to the highest but this time I went halfway =(. May be it was an large amount of weight was put in me, heh. It was trilling, why? cause your fingers will burn and your arm will cramp? Nah! its when you know you’ll fall, sudden adrenalin in you pump in and make you think you need to cling on else you’ll fall and guy’s ego usually pumps in too when their girls are around ;). But for me, it is how to test myself to the limits. And I get to Cling on 3/4 on the total course. The feeling of your arms can’t handle the pain and your fingers hurting really sucks, but you still need to hold on and even try to climb to the top. It is at this moment the question if you were to drop who’s going to catch you? its the safety rope that was cling on your harnesses that was attached to your waist. The picture below was a picture I took when I was at Macau Tower.

The question that leads to my mind is “ Why live on the edge when you can jump off?” This question really makes me thought of why don’t I take the risk of trying than keep staying in my comfort zone. And it leads me to that question “who going to catch you if you falls?” just now.
Well what I’m trying to say is as we are climbing up the rocks we are taking the risk of falling but when we fall there will be a rope that stop us from falling and keep us safe. Who will be the rope that keeps you from falling? money? friends? your boy or girl friends? or your parents? or God ?

Trusting Him

Many times I've misplace my trust on other material things that i can bring me happiness, but those happiness are temporary. Temporary that can last few months, weeks, days, hour, minutes and even seconds, yet they are still temporary and they wont last.

Hebrew 11:1 goes like this " To have faith, is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the words that we cannot see." . I think there are 2 ways of trusting : 1) trusting blindly 2) trusting God. Trusting blindly in what I mean is trusting something either forcefully or trusting for the sake of the "word" trust. Many of us being led to trusting by our friends, trusting in truth is always good but what if we are led to thrusting a false idea. This may leads to catastrophe. Believing on the things that are lies as though they are the truth. What make you to discern the Lies and the truth? i think it is only by God and from God.

Yes I still put my trust on Him "And let us not be put to the test, but keep us safe from the Evil One." Matthew 6:13. trusting him he'll bring me along under his care.
